Seafood Mixture:

  • ½ lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Optional: squeeze of lemon juice

White Sauce:

  • 4 tbsp butter

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ tsp Old Bay seasoning (or seafood seasoning)

  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Lasagna Layers:

  • 9 cooked lasagna noodles (or use oven-ready)

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella

  • 1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan

  • Optional: fresh parsley, for garnish

1. Prepare the Seafood

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  • Add garlic and sauté briefly, then add chopped shrimp.

  • Cook 2–3 minutes until just pink; season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.

  • Remove from heat and fold in crab meat. Set aside.

2. Make the White Sauce

  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

  • Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute to make a roux.

  • Gradually whisk in milk and cream, stirring until thickened (5–7 minutes).

  • Stir in Parmesan, Old Bay, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.

3. Assemble the Lasagna

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Spread a thin layer of white sauce on the bottom.

  • Layer 3 noodles, then spread:

    • A bit of ricotta,

    • A layer of seafood,

    • A drizzle of white sauce,

    • A sprinkle of mozzarella.

  • Repeat 2 more layers.

  • Top with final 3 noodles, remaining sauce, and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.

4. Bake

  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

  • Remove foil and bake uncovered for 10–15 more minutes, until golden and bubbling.

  • Let rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
