This chicken & rice casserole is very rich and creamy. A perfect meal to adorn your table. The rice soaks up all wonderful flavors and balances out tender pieces of chicken.
1 box Roni Chicken Rice
4 c shredded chicken
1 can cream onion soup
8 oz. sour cream
2 c cheddar cheese
Fried onions for garnish (optional)
Preheat oven 350 degrees.
The rice is cooked as a roni according to the instructions on the package.
Mix soup and sour cream with rice.
Adding chicken to rice mix and stir.
Spreading mix in bottom of a well-greased 9″ x 13″ baking dish.
Put the grated cheese and bake for 40 minutes.
Remove, let cool 5 minutes, garnish with fried onions to taste and serve.
