Banana Split Trifle

  • 1 package vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 6 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 quart strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 package vanilla wafers
  • ½ cup chocolate syrup
  • ½ cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped


  • Use the cold milk to make the pudding mix in a big bowl as directed on the container.
  • Add the thawed whipped cream after folding.
  • Layer half of the strawberries, bananas, and vanilla wafers in a trifle dish or a sizable glass bowl.
  • Over the fruit, drizzle half the chocolate syrup and half the cherry juice.
  • Repeat the layers of wafers, bananas, strawberries, chocolate syrup, and cherries.
  • Add the pudding mixture on top.
  • For a minimum of two hours, or until it has set, the mixture should be cooled while covered.
